City announces beefed-up bus service along busy Cerrillos Road corridor

If you’ve ever experienced the frustration of arriving at a bus stop just as a bus is leaving, knowing you’re in for a lengthy wait until the next one arrives, Andrew Baca has felt your pain.

The interim director of maintenance and operations for the Santa Fe Trails bus system said he rides the bus approximately five times a month just to maintain touch with what the experience is like. He understands that the prospect of waiting 40 or 50 minutes for another bus can be enough to keep a lot of folks from taking advantage of the service…
