Española City Police arrested a 60-year-old man Monday night after they responded to a call in which the man was threatening suicide and found a body in his trailer.
Steven Dobberowsky called 911 at 8:55 p.m. to say he’s not OK and had taken several pills, to include painkillers and muscle relaxers, according to the Española Central Dispatch E-911 log. He told a dispatcher that the door was locked and he couldn’t move to open it.
Officers Nicolas Lamendola and Shaun Olson forced entry into the trailer and saw a man, later identified as Dobberowsky, lying in a bed in the living room. While trying to figure out what was happening, Dobberowsky allegedly told Olson that he’d killed his mother, according to a criminal complaint filed against Dobberowsky.
