Veterans’ Memorial Park Reopens with Features Chosen by Community

Veterans’ Memorial Park in Santa Maria has re-opened, following extensive renovations made possible through a grant from the California State Parks and Recreation Division’s Proposition 68 funding.

Improvements to the park at 313 W. Tunnell Drive were shaped by community recommendations and are designed to enhance the park experience for visitors of all ages, the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department said.

More enhancements are coming, and a re-dedication ceremony is scheduled for the spring.
