According to Adobe Road Winery winemaker Garret Martin, the company’s long-delayed new facility – still under construction, overlooking the Petaluma River at the watery edge of C Street – will be “The jewel of Petaluma.”
The enormous building, as he described it during an enthusiastic appearance on a late October episode of Sonoma County’s “Vine, Wine & Dine” podcast, is definitely taking shape. Construction crews are working hard to turn the empty lot – once the home of an automotive garage – into Adobe Road’s new 16,000 sq ft. headquarters, complete with a winery production operation, a visitor center and tasting room. Once completed, the building will include lavish event facilities, outdoor activity areas and a motor-sports museum crammed with cars and trophies celebrating the racing career of owner Kevin Buckler.
