Don’t let the surgeon general’s recent alcohol warning deter you from planning a trip to Wine Country this winter. There are many new places to visit, and only some involve wine.
Beyond the first-ever public tasting room from one of Napa’s most expensive wineries; floating, panoramic tasting decks ; and a fancy oysters and bubbly experience, there’s also an adorable treats window, a low-key sushi spot and Sonoma’s first tasting menu restaurant. Three additions — a wine shop, cinnamon roll truck and an old-school burger shack — notably got their starts elsewhere: San Francisco, Chicago and Virginia.
