Police: St. Pete nurse who used patient’s credit card for sports betting faces more charges

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Petersburg nurse accused of using an elderly patient’s credit card for sports betting is now facing more charges.

Trenton Duckworth, 23, was arrested back in December for allegedly forging his patient’s signature to write a $5,000 check to himself.

In addition to sports betting, police said Duckworth used the patient’s credit card for gasoline, convenience store purchases, a dog walker and groceries…
