#1 Hobart skates past Skidmore 5-3

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The top-ranked Hobart hockey team scored three goals in the third period as it knocked off Skidmore 5-3 in a New England Hockey Conference contest at the Saratoga City Rink this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen are 13-0-0 to start the season with a 10-0-0 mark in NEHC play.

Sophomores Brandon Sacchetti (1g, 1a) and Conor Lally (2a) led Hobart with two points each. Junior Mavrick Goyer started in goal and made 25 saves as he earned his sixth win of the season.

Kaeden Patrick and Zach Lindewirth had a goal and an assist in the loss for the Thoroughbreds (7-8-0, 5-5-0). Tommy Aitken played all 60 minutes in goal and made 19 saves…
