Glens Falls Hospital implements new visitor restrictions

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Glens Falls Hospital has put in place new visitor restrictions with the rise in respiratory viruses that have been circling this winter. The new guidelines began on Monday.

The following restrictions are meant to limit the transmission of illnesses to protect patients and workers at the hospital:

  • No visitors with respiratory illness or flu-like symptoms are allowed
  • The visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Patients may have two healthy visitors at a time during visiting hours
  • Visitors must be at least 12 years old
  • Visitors can only use the Tower Entrance where they will be screened by security
  • The hospital asks visitors to use hand sanitizer at the screening station and practice good hand hygiene during their visit
