One of New York’s most popular “lakes” has announced they will be opening a brand new winter attraction the day after Thanksgiving.
Most of us love this time of year for various reasons but I think we can all agree that there are a few specific things that make the holidays special. For me, it’s all about family, friends, and decorations! There is something magical about driving around the Hudson Valley and seeing regular houses on random roads covered in holiday lights and decorations. Another magical thing many families enjoy doing this time of year is to visit some of the numerous light shows and winter wonderlands that pop up across New York.
New Winter Attraction in Upstate Opening Soon
The Hudson Valley has numerous options to check out this year but if you find yourself craving a little road trip the folks in the village of Lake George, NY have announced they will be introducing a new holiday attraction this year. According to News 10, starting the Friday after Thanksgiving, Lake George will turn on “Lights at the Lake”, a holiday light display that will span across the village.

After agreeing on a lease term with the Albany Police Athletic League, Lake George has installed several festive light displays across the village. The light displays will be best viewed by walking around the village because if you only drive by you will only be able to see a few displays.
