SCOTIA, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A break-in at Nibble Nosh bakery in Scotia left the owners stunned. But support from the community has lifted their spirits and their sales.
Last Saturday, the Sikroski family woke up to broken glass from what appeared to be a brick thrown at the door and their cash register torn apart and left on the floor.
”We are family owned, so it is legitimately myself, my husband — our oldest son helps us out front — so we don’t have a gigantic corporate bank account, and you know, 20 staff. So when we come in as a family together on a Saturday morning, I kind of go about the day. To see that was heart wrenching.”

They posted on Facebook to let their customers know what happened and that their weekly “Cinnamon Roll Saturday event” would be delayed. But what happened next blew them away. The community banded together to support them. Glenville Glass was on the property within hours to fix the door. And every day since, the bakery has been packed with people buying up their baked goods…
