Snow can’t slow these marchers

GLENS FALLS—Amidst some early morning snowfall, the streets of Glens Falls were still filled yesterday morning with hundreds of veterans and families in the annual Christmas Eve Road March.

Every year, New York Army National Guard Sgt. First Class (Ret.) Arthur Coon and his wife Julie organize a four-mile walk around the city. While turnout was a little bit less than in previous years, Coon thanked the city, veterans organizations, and all of the marchers for their support.

“There’s nothing, no other place I’d rather be today. It’s just a great commitment to the community. And thank you, thank you all for being here,” Coon said in a speech during a ceremony prior to beginning the march…
