GEMA, Homeland Security launch temporary sheltering program after Helene in Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency has launched a temporary sheltering program to help survivors of Hurricane Helene.

The Housing Emergency Assistance and Recovery Through Sheltering (HEARTS) program will provide non-congregate shelter in hotels or motels.
