Homicide suspect shot by police during chase in Savannah

A man suspected in a Chatham County homicide was injured Sunday night when he was shot by Savannah police after firing his own gun at them as he fled on foot, the GBI said.

Gregory Eugene Griffin, 31, was injured during the exchange of gunfire, the GBI said. No officers were hurt during the chase.
