Independence Day forecast

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Throughout the day Thursday, we are tracking a much drier day, however, temperatures will be noticeably higher throughout the afternoon.

A stray shower is possible later in the afternoon but most of us will stay dry. Let’s break it down.

Thursday morning, temperatures will start in the middle and upper 70s for the coastline while inland areas west of I-95 will be a degree or two cooler. Surface high pressure will take control of our weather pattern meaning conditions will stay mainly dry through Thursday as temperatures return to the upper 80s by around 11 a.m.

Besides some cloud cover, if you plan on setting up for that afternoon barbeque or taking a trip to the beach during the morning, we are looking good and most importantly, rain-free…
