This auto parts store is closing 500 locations. Which Arizona stores will be affected?

Car parts provider Advance Auto Parts announced Thursday that it will close 500 stores by mid-2025, according to Reuters .

The chain, which provides both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers with auto parts, has struggled with a flagging demand for vehicle parts. Share prices of the company have dropped from around $242 in November 2021 to $49 in August 2024.

There are 28 Advance Auto Parts stores in Arizona, concentrated in the Phoenix and Tucson metro areas. The company also owns Carquest Auto Parts. It is unclear if that brand will also be affected by the closures…
