Live Oak, INB Homes ready to take over King’s Landing in Fort Pierce if Audubon walks away

FORT PIERCE — Two new companies soon could be in charge of building the King’s Landing development planned for downtown. The complex could include a hotel, homes, condos, restaurants and shops.

Audubon Development, the lead developer of the former H.D. King Power Plant site since 2019, last week sold part of the propert y set aside for 10 villas for $1 million, and is in the process of finalizing a deal that would see it sell the rest of the property, too.

If that second deal is finalized, Audubon would relinquish any stake in the project that it has overseen for nearly six years, a time during which no major construction has taken place…
