WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Lincoln women’s basketball team faced old MIAA rival Central Missouri on Tuesday (Dec. 17), but dropped an 89-56 decision to the Jennies.
The teams combined for 52 points in a high-scoring first quarter, but Central Missouri (8-5) ended up taking a 53-35 advantage into halftime. The Jennies held Lincoln (1-8) to .385 shooting from the field, though the Blue Tigers allowed UCM to shoot just .240 from three-point range. Lincoln forced only seven turnovers, but LU’s reserves scored 21 points, led by Imani Harris, who finished with 11 points and five rebounds.
Chase Giddings, who pulled down six rebounds, and Isis Sanders, who dished two assists, finished with 10 points apiece. Hanne Nybo was next with nine points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal. Cassidy Gladney had a block to go with four points, a rebound and a steal. Kiara Cabrera, meanwhile, added five points and grabbed three rebounds…
