Outgoing Missouri DPS director reflects on 39 years with agency

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (First Alert 4) – As the Missouri Department of Public Safety director plans for her Jan. 13 retirement, Sandy Karsten said the strong personal and professional relationships she cultivated sustained and supported her through a 39-year career.

“I think the most important part has been the relationships I’ve formed along the way, whether that’s been personal or professional,” Karsten said.
