The ACC sent two teams to the College Football Playoff in 2024 but not much else went right for the conference. ACC champion Clemson and runner-up SMU suffered double-digit defeats in the first round of the CFP as the conference stumbled to an abysmal 2-12 bowl record this postseason. The Mustangs were the lone ACC team to hit the 11-win mark this fall, the fewest of any Power Four conference.
