A new feature for the SEC during the 2024 season is the introduction of player availability reports for conference games, and Tennessee on Wednesday night revealed its initial injury update ahead of Saturday night’s Homecoming game against Mississippi State at Neyland Stadium. The seventh-ranked Vols (7-1, 4-1 SEC) ruled out running back DeSean Bishop and listed defensive lineman Tyre West as questionable to face the Bulldogs (2-7, 0-5). They were three of the five players included for Tennessee.
Teams will release initial availability reports on Wednesday night around 8:15 p.m. with updates following around the same time on Thursday and Friday nights and a final game-day report posted 90 minutes before kickoff.
Players will be listed as out, doubtful, questionable or probable in the days leading up to the game, and pregame updates can list players as game-time decisions or out – or not list them at all if they are available…
