‘It can be a distraction’: State educators considering restrictions on cell phone use

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Students across North Carolina could soon be without their cell phones when they go to class.

A group of educators from districts in and around Raleigh approached the State Board of Education about that possibility. Now, the Board of Education is considering more policies around cell phone use and taking it to the General Assembly.
