R-S Central grapplers wreak Havoc on foes

RUTHERFORDTON — R-S Central hosted the Hilltopper Havoc wrestling event on Friday night at the Palace and the Hilltoppers came out a big winner. There were nine varsity and JV teams on the slate in the event that saw R-S Central preserve its undefeated team record, pushing it to 13-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers would defeat West Henderson 60-15, North Lincoln 53-25, Mountain Heritage 76-6 and Bandys 54-17.

R-S Central coach Rich Cox was pleased with the results.

“Our guys are having fun and working hard,” Cox said. “We have a good mixture of youth and experience, but they are hard workers and are coachable. Our team leadership is doing a phenomenal job of keeping everyone motivated and helping one another.”…
