Upstate woman sentenced for drug trafficking conspiracy

BLACKSBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate woman was sentenced to more than three years in prison after picking up a package of meth as part of a drug trafficking conspiracy.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday that 53-year-old Stacey Bentley, of Blacksburg, pleaded guilty to a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy.

Evidence presented to the court showed Bentley was part of the conspiracy when she was caught attempting to pick up a package containing three kilograms of methamphetamine from a U.S. Post Office in April 2023…
