KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a North Carolina woman after an alleged attempt to steal thousands of dollars from a Missouri energy provider through a check stolen from the mail.
Clinton County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Jan. 3, have revealed that Destinee A. McCormick, 26, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, has been charged in connection to a check that was stolen from the U.S. Postal Service.
A probable cause statement filed by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office indicated that the owner of Frazier Energy, LLC, had sent a check to a company they use for business purposes in August.
