WASHINGTON (7News) — The 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace Walk and Parade is scheduled for this Saturday, rounding out a busy weekend in the District before Monday’s presidential inauguration ceremony.
‘Commit to the Noble Struggle for Equal Rights’ is the theme of this year’s parade. Organizers say that the theme commemorates Dr. King’s enduring legacy of peace, justice, and unity and highlights under-appreciated contributions of Black women in the ongoing fight for civil rights.
