Camarillo man arrested for vehicle tampering and parole violation

CAMARILLO, California — A Camarillo man was arrested for vehicle tampering and a parole hold after a resident reported a suspicious encounter. The incident occurred on November 15, 2024, when Wesley Fenton allegedly attempted to open a car door and made inappropriate comments.The victim, who was sitting in her vehicle, recorded the encounter on her cellphone and contacted authorities, according to the Camarillo Police Department. Deputies reviewed the footage and recognized Fenton, a known offender in the area. After a search, Fenton was located and arrested for tampering with the vehicle, a violation of Vehicle Code 10852.Fenton, who is on active probation for indecent exposure and parole for resisting officers, was placed on a parole hold and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail.
