Authorities name woman killed by train

A woman killed after being struck by an Amtrak train in Ventura Dec. 26 has been identified.

Jaime Curran, 53, died from multiple, blunt-force injuries, according the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. The manner of death was deemed undetermined.

Curran, described as homeless, was struck by the train just before 8 p.m. along the tracks near Auto Center and Hofer drives, according to the Ventura Police Department. The tracks are sandwiched between southbound Highway 101 and the Ventura Auto Center…
