Wild Coyote Spotted at West Hollywood Park

A wild coyote was spotted at West Hollywood Park on Sunday night. A video posted on YouTube by Fallen Angelenos shows the animal walking cautiously past Parallel Perpendicular artwork by artist Phillip K. Smith III, next to The Abbey WeHo restaurant and bar. The coyote sprints east towards San Vicente Boulevard near the kid’s playground. The time of night of the video is not known, but the park looks pretty empty.

The sighting is a reminder that as urban areas expand into natural habitats, sightings of wildlife in neighborhoods, especially coyotes, have increased. This has created concerns for both human and pet safety. West Hollywood’s proximity to green spaces makes these encounters more common, underscoring the need for public guidance on managing potential conflicts.
