HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Officials in the Upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina are opening emergency shelters for residents impacted by severe weather from Hurricane Helene.

Pickens City – Cheri Anthony Recreation Center at 545 Sangamo Road in Pickens, SC (opening at 5 p.m. for those in mobile homes and low-lying flood-prone areas)…
