Once again, Furman University alumnus Bobby Daugherty ’90 finds himself in the news. The former Paladin running back and economics graduate gained media attention in 2019 when he opened Old Europe Pastries in downtown Greenville. Now, the Black Mountain, North Carolina, native has opened a new location at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin, South Carolina. The newest operation, Old Europe Desserts, also includes carefully crafted confections that owe their taste and airiness to Eastern European roots. M.
