Bridge collapses in rural Plymouth County, no one injured

STRUBLE, Iowa (KCAU) — A bridge in rural Plymouth County collapsed Thursday after an overloaded semi truck drove over it.

According to officials, a semi was traveling westbound on 120th Street south of Struble, Iowa with an oversized load of hay bales. The stack of hay bales was tall enough to hit the top rails of the bridge, pushing everything forward and causing the bridge to collapse.

The driver was not injured, and Stockton Towing was able to pull the semi out…
