Naukot sets 10,000 meter record at Raleigh Relays

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Freshman Joy Naukot of the West Virginia University track and field team shattered WVU’s record in the women’s 10,000 meters with a time of 32:21.84 on Friday evening at the Raleigh Relay in Raleigh, North Carolina.

With the time, the freshman claimed second place in the event at the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility.

In the high jump, redshirt sophomore Annishka McDonald also claimed second after notching a mark of 1.75 meters. Additionally, classmate Olivia Cress tied for 16th place with a season high mark of 1.65 meters…
