Drivers surprised with slick roads as snow bears down in south metro Atlanta counties

GRIFFIN, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – On Tuesday afternoon, many drivers were surprised by slick roads as snow dumped into Spalding, Henry and Clayton counties.

The heavy traffic melted the snow. Then the freezing temperatures still blanketing the region created slick, icy conditions on many roadways across metro Atlanta, according to Atlanta News First meteorologists.
