Cold, sunny weather continues in western WA

The Brief

  • Seattle’s third-driest January on record continues
  • There is a slight chance of rain on Thursday, but it will otherwise be dry well into next week

SEATTLE Seattle may see the faintest chance for a stray shower on Thursday, but that aside, the long, dry January continues.

Today, Seattle got to 44 degrees. The record was 60 degrees, which happened back in 1981. We had a mix of clouds and a few sunbreaks today.

When will it rain again in Seattle?

By the numbers:

Some clouds start to roll in overnight. Lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s, but almost everyone will be below freezing. For Thursday, it will become cloudier as the day goes on. There is also a chance of showers in the afternoon — a very slight chance. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s.

As you can see, the temperatures on the coast will be in the mid 40s, and further inland it will be in the lower 40s. Seattle will get to 41 degrees tomorrow.
