AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – We will be warm and breezy today ahead of a cold front that will push through tonight and usher in cooler weather Wednesday through the rest of the week. Not much rain in the forecast this week. Next week looks even colder!
Gusts have been between 30-40 mph across Georgia and South Carolina this afternoon. It will stay breezy this evening and we could see gusts over 20 mph at times after sunset.
Firework forecast looks to be okay with mostly clear conditions overnight, but the main nuisance will be wind speeds that will sustain around 10-15 mph with higher gusts at times. Please take this into consideration when setting off fireworks. If you plan to stay outside New Year’s Eve temperatures will be comfortable and slowly dropping into the 50s after sunset and fall through the 40s after midnight…
