Hilltop Fire District voters approve millage increase and bond referendum

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Voters in Hilltop Fire District’s coverage area voted yes to two special questions on the ballot: A property tax increase and a $2.5 million bond referendum.

Fire Chief, Donald Millis said this win will provide vast improvements to an aging facility.

“The two things passed was a big, big help to the fire district,” Millis said. “We are happy to know that we are supported by our tax payers. They represented us well in the election.”…
