SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WSPA) – Since the era of Jimmy Carter’s Presidency, Nautilus Fitness Center’s doors have been open to all residents on South Church Street in Spartanburg.
That was the case until the fitness center announced it’s closing their doors on September 30.
“ We’ve negotiated the last two years and [the City of Spartanburg] pretty much said, ‘you know, we’re going to file eminent domain unless you take this offer,’ and so we negotiated it back and forth,” said John Lankford, Nautilus’ owner. “So pretty much, we’ve been forced out.”…
