TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tarpon Springs Mayor Costa Vatikiotis announced he will step down from his position on Thursday.
In a resignation letter addressed to the Board of Commissioners, Vatikiotis cited “constant infighting” among commissioners and developments during Tuesday’s commission meeting that appeared to be the last straw.
“This decision was not spontaneous,” the mayor wrote in the letter. “Tuesday night’s meeting simply made it easier.”…
