Crime Stoppers seeking tips on Wyndham vandalism; hotel expected to be closed for 90 days

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help in solving a criminal damage case at a downtown Springfield hotel.

Last week, Springfield Police officers were dispatched to the Wyndham hotel on Adams Street for a criminal damage report. A suspect cut a main water pipe, tore out electrical units and damaged a computer system.

The hotel is now temporarily closed.
