According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, showers are expected to begin early Wednesday morning (4/2), with a chance of thunderstorms for Chicagoland and the Rockford region.
Between 1 and 4 pm is when strong to severe thunderstorms are likely Wednesday afternoon, with a potential for damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes, according to the NWS.
