SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, confirmed the identity of a man who was transported by EMS to Springfield Memorial Hospital following a motor vehicle crash near the intersection of North 2nd Street and Calhoun Street on March 24, 2025.
Desmond Walls, 19, of Springfield, was pronounced dead by hospital staff on March 25, 2025, at 5 p.m.
