SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — A man was fatally shot following a traffic accident on Tuesday, in the 2000 block of North Dirksen Parkway, according to Springfield Police.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:13 p.m. and, upon arrival, heard several gunshots. Witnesses informed police that a male had been shot near the drive-thru area of a McDonald’s located at 2100 N. Dirksen Parkway.
