Peoria, Ill. (WMBD) — A significant outbreak of severe weather is unfolding across the country as another strong area of low pressure moves across the country. While the worst of the storms remained south of our area, they still managed to produce damaging winds and hail east of the Illinois River.

- 10:21 AM – Hartsburg: 2 Semis flipped on I-155. Two injuries
- 10:25 AM – Lincoln: Large tree branch down in the road
- 10:26 AM – Lincoln: Roof ripped off Eaton Manufacturing building
- 10:26 AM – Lincoln: Powerlines and fallen trees throughout town
- 10:35 AM – Atlanta: Power lines and structure damage
- 10:55 AM – Towanda: 67 MPH wind gusts
- 12:10 PM – Washington: 2-3 inch diameter tree limbs snapped
- 4:00 PM – Downs: 2-4 diameter tree limbs downed
- 4:23 PM – Bellflower: Powerlines down
Hail reports
- 9:10 AM – El Paso: 1.0″ diameter hail
- 4:19 PM – Bellflower: 1.25″ diameter hail
The storms also produced heavy rain with many locations around the Peoria Metro areas received more than an inch of rainfall.
