SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WICS) — A woman stranded on I-57 southbound with her two children expressed her gratitude to Trooper Reynald Peete, who came to their rescue after she unsuccessfully contacted 18 towing companies and attempted to flag down passing vehicles.
“Trooper Peete stopped and got a tow for us,” she said in a thank you letter. “He made sure the children and I were safe, drove us to many hotels to get a room, and even made sure they were pet friendly.”…
