Meyer Library installs phone booth for soundproof conversations

Missouri State University has opened a soundproof phone booth on the third floor of the Duane G. Meyer Library.

According to ROOM’s website, the company that makes the phone booth and other products, the booth comes fitted with nearly two inches of sound insulation made from recycled materials and a built-in magnetic board, desk and chair for longer conversations. Additionally, smart motion sensors activate lights and two ultra-quiet fans upon entry. The booth also comes equipped with two power outlets and an ethernet port.
