Springfield City Council looking to approve money from the state to make upgrades to Hammons Field

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Hammons Field could have some significant upgrades for next season thanks to money approved by the state of Missouri.

The state approved $3.5 million for stadium upgrades. Now, the Springfield City Council just has to accept the funds.

“We’re very excited about what this off-season looks like, as far as repair at the stadium, and all this was really made possible by what the city of Springfield was able to work with the state government to do,” said Dan Reiter, general manager for the Springfield Cardinals…
