PEORIA, Ill. – The University of Dayton men’s cross country team finished in 21st place on Friday, at the Bradley Pink Classic. UD competed against some of the top teams in the country in the 29-team field. Multiple Flyers ran in the White/Open Division and the Red/Invite Division. Seven Flyers were able to cross the finish line with a personal best.
Andrew Wilcox in just his second collegiate 8k was the first UD runner to cross the finish line with a personal best (24:52.7). The freshman placed 86th and picked up 70 points for the Flyers. Sam Duncan had another strong performance running 25:13.9 to finish 120th. It was the second straight race Jameson Maynes and Logan Arnold recorded a personal best. Maynes a Junior from Milford, Ohio ran 25:24.15 and Arnold a Freshman from Xenia, Ohio finished at 26:22.6 PR. Jacob Herzog (25:44.4) and Noah Locke (26:36.5) also joined the PR parade running in the Red/Invite Division.
Racing for the first time this year Noah Clemens ran a personal best running unattached in the White/Open Division. The Junior from Dublin, Ohio ran 25:48.07 and finished 19th. Colin Sams also recorded a PR running 26:09.55 to finish 37th in the White Race…
