DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A free food distribution event is set to be held just in time for the holidays.
From 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 18, a pop-up drive thru food distribution will occur at 56 Armor Place in Dayton. Drivers should arrive from Mound Street from Washington Street, and pull around to the back of the lot for distribution.
Visitors will have fresh produce, meat and various pantry items placed in the trunk or back seat of their vehicles. Attendees are asked to have spaced cleared out for the items to be placed by volunteers.
“We believe that no one should go hungry, especially during the holidays,” said Michelle L. Riley, CEO of The Foodbank. “With so many facing food insecurity, this is a critical time to step up and provide support. We’re proud to be a resource for families when they need it the most.”…
