Frito-Lay chip recall in Oregon and Washington

( WJW ) – Frito-Lay has issued a recall on certain bags of their Lay’s Classic Potato Chips .

According to the alert shared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall applies to a “limited number” of 13 oz. bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips that may contain an undeclared milk allergen.

The company says it learned about the issue from a consumer.

“Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product,” reads the statement.

According to the company, affected products were only distributed to retail stores and e-commerce distributors in Oregon and Washington. No other Lay’s products, flavors, sizes or variety packs are recalled and no allergic reactions related to the recalled product have been reported.
