A new restaurant, called Oiso Korean Street Food, is expected to have a soft opening in March in the retail strip anchored by Giant in central Annandale, says owner and chef William Kim.
Oiso will be located at 7133-C Columbia Pike between Wellbeing More and a vacant storefront being renovated for a future Bonchon restaurant. It will replace the Gom Ba Woo restaurant, which is closing at the end of January. Demolition will start in February.
Kim says Oiso will focus on Korean seafood. The menu will also have kimbap (rolls with rice, vegetables, and seaweed); donkatsu (fried pork cutlet with cabbage salad and rice); ttekbokki (rice cakes and fish cakes in a spicy sauce; K-tacos; bibimbap; o-dang (fish cakes); K-noodles; bulgogi; and dumplings…
